Lower East Side in New York City.  

New York City is so crazy, it's so hard to explain.  It's an animal in itself.  It lives, it breathes, it has it's own pulse and living here - you are impacted by it for sure.  It's stimulating, alive, creative, very inspiring especially in the Fall time. 

Katie Krause is the young designer of  The Katie Kansas. Perhaps her creations are something different than what I've shown until now, but they are the reflection of a lifestyle.

Inspired by the electronic music scene, nightlife, from travel and performance.

She is a performer.
She loves all the materials and combine things together.

Dresses, shorts and body but also strong details, with a touch of femininity.
The world she reflects in her products is the mirror of the adventurous, sometimes unconventional, night scene, where she performs and where she doesn't lost her sensuality.

She loves to travel. Yellow is her favorite color. The sun is her therapy.   

She like to go out to dinner, but she loves to eat gummy bears.  

Snowboarding in the winter, lie by the pool in summer.  

Katie think about herself as super independent. Dancing naked in her room. She loves roller coasters, but she is still afraid of the dark.

Katie Kansas creates clothing for everyday girl adventures: feathers, stones, chains, studs, lace, anything soft, stretch and sexy.
NYC is a great environment of inspiration, a place from which to draw important resources for your creativity.
When her drawings come to life they cause a very strong sensation.

She can't ignore her creativity, because it's something that occurs and is reflected in everything she does.  

Suddenly arrives, and Katie is carried away, as a designer and as a performer.

Lower East Side, New York City. Crazy, una città difficile da spiegare. 

È come un animale: vive, respira, pulsa. Se ci vivi, tu stesso senti la forza dei suoi impulsi. NYC è una città stimolante, viva, creativa, soprattutto nella stagione autunnale.

Katie Krause è la giovane designer di The Katie Kansas. Forse le sue creazioni sono qualcosa di diverso rispetto a quelle che vi ho mostrato fino ad ora, ma è come se fossero lo specchio di uno stile di vita.

Ispirata decisamente dalla scena della musica elettronica, dalla vita notturna, dal viaggio e dalle performance, lei stessa è una performer. 

Adora tutti i materiali e il combinare le cose insieme.

Abiti, ma anche shorts e body dai dettagli aggressivi, con un tocco di femminilità. 

È come se tutto rappresentasse un mondo avventuroso, a tratti trasgressivo, come quello della scena notturna. Dove Katie, a volte, si esibisce e dove non tralascia una certa femminilità.

Ama viaggiare. Il giallo è il suo colore preferito. Il sole è la sua terapia. Ama andare fuori a cena, ma adora mangiare gli orsetti gommosi. Snowboard d'inverno, stendersi ai bordi della piscina d'estate. Katie si definisce super indipendente. Balla nuda nella sua stanza. Ama le montagna russe, ma ha ancora paura del buio. 

Il concept di Katie Kansas Closet è quello di creare vestiti quotidiani per ragazze avventurose: piume, pietre, catene, borchie, pizzo, qualsiasi elemento soffice, stretch e sexy. NYC è un grande scenario di ispirazione, un luogo da cui attingere grandi risorse per la proprio fame di creatività. Quando i suoi disegni prendono vita essi provocano una sensazione molto forte.

Non può ignorare la sua creatività, perchè è qualcosa che si presenta e si riflette in qualsiasi cosa fa. Improvvisamente arriva, e Katie si lascia trasportare, come designer e come performer.
