I asked Jill McKeever, the designer/manufacturer of these cosmetics, too human for a human body, to tell us this new and strange form of creativity.
Going on an adventure. Travel. Cultural change: indirect sources of inspiration for a mind that thinks in a new way.
The music is what inspires Jill: If you do not drink coffee, maybe you will be in a catatonic state, confused, slow and sleepy for most of the day. In this state, you could have sensing creative visions. Philosophy and literature feed the conceptual thinking of Jill.
The idea, as well as the mission, which moved its cosmetic-creations is the feeling and the knowledge that things simple, primitive and natural are the ones where we can refuge.
The modern culture of technology has lost its soul. Reversing the trend. Natural materials. Ethically collected and recycled. Without the use of plastic. Respect the nature and the human body.
Stop. Design. Listen. Think. Write and draw ideas. Then give them a shape. Monday-Tuesday: conceptual work, design, computer, business. Wednesday to Friday: Shaping ideas. Testing of the novel. Often the work goes on in the evening, sometimes in the night.
Creativity = ideas = divine gift. So Jill recognizes it.
