"I started working in the vintage industry several years ago, first in retail as a salesperson and manager & then gradually more as a buyer for established local shops, or independently through my own small shop on etsy.
I've shaped my own variation of 'vintage' out of my love for contemporary lines like Mociun, Apiece Apart, Acne & Wood Wood- all classic but inventive.
I love basics, great quality construction & fabrication, and particularly am drawn to grey & other neutral colors
My shop is now on etsy, and through it I primarily sell what I refer to as 'vintage essentials'- everyday wardrobe staples that are intended to be timeless & well-made, plus a small selection of jewelry that I make using natural stones, glass, and wood.
My blog is a more comprehensive fashion angle, including my own vintage & jewelry, plus the independent fashion I enjoy & admire- whether from an established label, or an individual making nice things to sell on etsy.
I am expanding my current shop in the beginning of 2011 by setting up an independent web shop in which I will include more handmade items that I personally like to wear & use. I will be selling oversize leather tote bags & basic oxfords to start + my own vintage/jewelry, and will go from there!
I would describe my approach to fashion as enthusiastic but careful.
I love natural fabrics like silk, leather & alpaca, and am especially excited about knitwear.. I'd say my closet is pretty spare, but for my growing collection of sweater".
